The Quarry motif was developed at Waraniéné in the mid-Twentieth Century. It depicts the birds-eye view of a quarry and can be found in patterns such as Artisanal and occasionally our Waraniéné variations. This lumbar is an even more abstracted take on this motif. A collection of seemingly random geometric lines softened by the negative space of the natural cotton. Handwoven in raw cotton, this pillowcase has a texture similar to raw silk. With use, the weave will tighten, patina, and soften. These cloths are hand dyed and some transfer onto lighter colors may occur.
